AMI Polyolefin Additives 2024: Biobased stabilisers

Dr. Elke Metzsch-Zilligen, Head of the Research Department ‘Circular Additives and Compounds’ will speak at the AMI Polyolefin Additives Conference on 9 October 2024 on the topic: Bio-based Stabilisers − Shaping the Future of Polymer Processing and Durability.

In her presentation, Dr Metzsch-Zilligen will give a brief overview of chemical compounds known as (potential) process stabilisers and antioxidants derived from plants and biowaste. She will present novel antioxidants based on the chemical functionalisation of bio-based structures with the aim of overcoming various limitations. It will also demonstrate significant improvements in the processing and long-term stabilisation of polymers of different classes.
