Odor in plastics and recyclates

Individual solutions for odor-contaminated materials

The use and recycling of plastics and plastic recyclates is often restricted by odors in the material. Materials with high quality requirements are particularly affected.

At Fraunhofer CCPE, we develop customised concepts to minimise odors and emissions from plastic recyclates. Our solutions include the improvement of recyclate quality through adapted recycling processes and the use of odor scavengers to make odor-contaminated materials optimally usable.

Are you facing challenges in the field of odor-contaminated plastics? Would you like to expand their areas of application? We will be happy to support you with suitable solutions and answer your questions.
